what information do realtors use from your credit report to determine your eligibility for rental property.does your credit score or delinquent accounts affect their decision. im searching for a rental unit that is currently accepting fema program. if you have any information in regards please help.

They use several things. In short they are checking your ability to make the payments that you say you can. They also check that you have paid all your previous commitments. Also to see if you pay on time.Yes delinquent accounts and your credit score can affect their decision.  If you call on properties for rent you are dealing with the owners agent usually and their job is screen for good renters because they work directly for the owner. You need your own agent basically someone who can look for a property that fits your budget and or needs.Just call a local real estate company and tell them you are looking for an agent to help assist you and in obtaining a property for rent. Be sure to be straight up an honest with them. That way you don't waste your time or theirs because if they can not help you there's no use wasting time. As far as the fema program. Ask the agent.
